Christopher J. Cunningham began his legal career in 2005. In 2007 he joined Janet Denton and Kate Smith in establishing the Colleyville, Texas law firm of Denton, Smith and Cunningham, L.P..
Christopher focuses his practice on Divorce, Child Support, Modifications, Adoptions, Probate, Wills, Business Formation and Business Organization. He is also a certified family mediator.
Prior to his association with attorneys, Denton and Smith, Chris was an associate with the Arlington, Texas law firm of Pierson Behr, where he handled a variety of family law cases, attorney ad litem appointments for Texas Department of Family and Protective Services cases, and school law and special needs issues. His practice extended to complex community property issues, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, personal injury and civil litigation claims. Chris also represented clients in probate matters for both dependent and independent estates.
After graduating from law school, Chris worked as a sole practitioner. He established the Law Office of Chris Cunningham, Fort Worth, Texas, where his work involved probate, wills, corporations and insurance bad faith, as well as family law.
Chris worked for the Fort Worth Independent School District, Fort Worth, Texas, New Lives School, 1997-1998, after earning his Bachelor’s degree and at the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center, 1998-2005.
